GEO provides an opportunity for individuals in the fields of Human Services and Social Pedagogy to enhance their international professional resume by gaining experience in an established non-profit organization in the United States. GEO promotes an educational and professional exchange experience for all participants and aims to enhance cultural awareness, mutual understanding and international cooperation. This is achieved through the hands on learning, relationship building, and sharing of experiences that occurs when participants collaborate side by side with professionals in the United States.
Applicants with previous education or work experience in the human services field can train under a J-1 Visa in the United States for 12-18 months. This program is designed to help participants strengthen their professional portfolio through a unique experience that gives them a firsthand look at work and culture in the United States.
